Please remember the following in your prayers and those of your community.
We remember Alice Lambe, from the Prescot group, who is currently in hospital.
We have been concerned about the health of our National Chaplain, Fr Tony Nye sj for a little time now and we have recently learned that he requires a procedure for his arteries. This was carried out on Wednesday July 11th and seems to have gone well; we ask you to continue to remember him in your Prayers. He sends the following message: "Thank you for all your prayers and support. The Angioplasty went well, with very good care at Brompton Hospital. Having a good rest at our Mount Street Community House and then will have fewer engagements than usual in August and September, mainly taking part in the Barmouth Retreat, saying Mass and giving supervision. Then look forward to entering upon my 4th year as your National Chaplain with renewed but careful energy."
We have also just heard that Fr Tony Horan sj has had an unfortunate incident. He writes: I have been set back a bit by being knocked down by a car last Friday—no bones broken but very shaken and internally bruised. For the first time today I am better than yesterday, Sat, Sun Mon, Tuesday each day was more painful and debilitating than previous day.
John Clifford and Paddy Lane are getting married on Monday, July 30th. We pray for their future happiness.
We pray for the safe return of Madeleine McCann and for her parents and family.
